This inspection will give you a thorough overview of the condition of the vehicle from interior, under bonnet, exterior and under carriage, listing things you may or may not have picked up on. This will not only inform you as a seller but also impress your potential buyer and give them a complete understanding of the vehicles condition.
What is included in a PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION?
Interior:
SELECT MOBILE MECHANICS will check all seat belts/buckles for fraying and locking, inspect operation of manual or electric windows, check all door locks and levers for correct operation, check dash and controls for correct operation, check hand/park brake lever for excessive free travel and give a brief overview of the general condition of upholstery.
Under bonnet:
SELECT MOBILE MECHANICS will carry out a cooling system pressure test to check for internal or external water leakages from the cooling system, test charging system including battery test, check all fluid levels and check condition of fluids, inspect the brake master cylinder and abs module for external leaks, start and run the engine to inspect the running condition, listen for abnormal engine noises, check all engine drive belts and heater hoses for cracks or leaks, and give a brief overview of under bonnet condition.
Exterior:
SELECT MOBILE MECHANICS will inspect the operation of all exterior lights, check windscreen wipers, inspect front and rear windscreens for cracks or chips, check rear view mirrors are not cracked or missing, visual inspection of all tyres including spare wheel for wear and delamination, check operation of all external locks and handles and give a brief overview of body condition.
Under body:
SELECT MOBILE MECHANICS will raise the vehicle & inspect the front end free play, check the steering operation and inspect for wear, inspect front and rear suspension components for wear and excessive free play, inspect under carriage for any oil leaks from engine, transmission and differentials, inspect fuel tank, fuel pipes and fuel hoses for external leaks, check the exhaust system for cracks and leaks and give a brief overview of the under body condition.
Road test:
SELECT MOBILE MECHANICS will road test the vehicle inspecting cold engine start up, check engine performance from cold to normal operating temperature, check for gearbox or differentials vibration or noise, check braking capability, check for steering and suspension noise or vibration, check for tyre noise or vibration, check for wheel alignment issues and give a brief overview of the road test.

SELECT MOBILE MECHANICS will not hold any responsibility for any damages made to this same vehicle after the inspection date. We will provide you with an easy to read inspection report that will help you decide as a buyer whether this is the right vehicle for you. We will not comment on vehicle price as this is between the buyer and seller.
